Terwijl buiten het kwik stijgt, is in de koele bioscoopzaal dit broeierige portret te zien van een Amsterdams gezin dat tijdens een hittegolf het hoofd boven water probeert te houden. Dat is bepaald geen straf, want met het energieke, strijdlustige en kleurrijke drama combineert de Nederlands-Chileense Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito op doeltreffende wijze luchtigheid en sociaal engagement.
