In juni 2024 wordt door uitgeverij Adveniat het boek Parels van Wijsheid uitgegeven. De omvangrijke bundel, die bijdrages van veel verschillende auteurs bevat, gaat over parabels en hun doorwerking in verschillende historische periodes en tekstuele tradities. Ik ben trots dat een artikel van mijn hand in de bundel is opgenomen. Het gaat om “Ome Winter heeft geoordeeld’: La Cinquième Saison (2012) als filmische parabel”, een artikel dat ik in eerste instantie schreef voor de website van het Parabelproject.
In een eerste gastblog op de website van het Parabelproject heb ik het Vlaams-Franse drama La Cinquième Saison (2012) geïnterpreteerd en geanalyseerd als parabel. Mijn doel was tweeledig: enerzijds wilde ik het draagvlak vergroten voor onderzoek naar de doorwerking van parabels in de visuele kunsten–specifiek in film–anderzijds hoopte ik geïnteresseerde lezers handreikingen te kunnen bieden om elementen van parabel in film te herkennen. Deze tweede gastblog kan in directe samenhang met de parabelanalyse gelezen worden. Ditmaal reflecteer ik vanuit theoretisch oogpunt op de interdisciplinaire studie van parabel en film.

Voor het Parabelproject, een initiatief van onderzoekers aan de Universiteit Utrecht en Universiteit Tilburg, heb ik een gastblog mogen schrijven over de doorwerking van parabels in eigentijdse film.
